What a SHOW

-

Producing an annual show is fun but stressful, having to make sure that everything is in place. While there are both voluntary and hired professionals working with you, the final production staged has to be received well by the hundreds who come to the show. I am happy to say that this year’s show was as great a success as the previous ones. I have many to thank for making this so: the cast, the crew and a special thank you to Sujeewa Samarasekara of Shift, who with his special effects made the show absolutely funny and outrageous, the Leo Burnett

crew who saw to everything, Lou Ching for his fabulous costumes, Anushan and his dancers, Mariza who handles the production, the

Cinnamon Grand who gives us such tremendous support and who laid out a fabulous spread under the charge of their Executive chef Sudhusinghe.

My interview with her Hi-ness Shyamalee Tudawe was such a treat. Thank you Shyamalee and a big thank you to Sujan and all at Wijeya group who made everything happen.

A thank you to Connell, Priyadhari and Shohan who helped me dress

and also to Nayana and all her Salon staff who did such a splendid job on both hair and makeup. Sunil, the host for the evening who kept the audience going and Ronnie

Leach who always gets the audience in fits of laughter.

Ronnie is so natural and witty that one has to see him on stage to believe it. A big thank you too to Asanka for volunteering to take the photographs. There are many more people I owe a thank you to, I am sure, and my sincere apologies to those I may have missed unintentionally. I, myself, had a ball during the entire show.
