Damsaari Unspools

Seasoned director Gihan Rohana’s latest tele serial ‘Damsaari’ will unspool on Swarnavahini daily at 7.30 pm on weekdays from Monday to Friday, starting from November 7.

The 100-episode story will feature Sheryl Romaine Decker playing the title role together with Dhanuka Dilshan, Kavinga Perera, Bhagya Gurusinghe, Sarath Chandrasiri, Janak Premalal, Awanthi Aponso, Chitra Warakagoda, Eardly Wedamuni, Kusum Renu, Ravindra Yasas and Jagath Benaragama

DAMSAARI is a fascinating story woven around Akalanka and Visal - two well-to-do youngsters who had been very close buddies from their schooldays. They accidentally meet Damsaari – a good looking young girl who follows a fashion designing course.

The romantic tale takes unexpected twists and turns depicting deep social issues and complex human relationship crises, with the emergence of Akalanka and Visal’s parents who represent the high end business fraternity and Damsaari’s parents and family members who are gripped by poverty in their low social status.

While Damsaari’s father, sister and uncle are forced into addiction to liquor, selfishness and irresponsible behaviour, Damsaari realises the realism of this crude, miserable society and faces life sincerely like a blooming fresh flower.

The viewers watching DAMSAARI daily, will also be plunged into shock and suspense, to witness how Akalanka and Visal despite being the carefree sons of a wealthy, high society family, change their attitudes when it comes to issues relating to sensitive personal preferences.
