Seylan Bank in harness with total education

Seylan Bank elongated its virtual arms to facilitate the commerce stream advanced level students of D.S. Senanayake College, Colombo 7, recently, conducting an interactiv­e practical forum, covering the contents pertaining to banking and finance in their curriculum.

Students flocked in hundreds together with their teachers and offered their great tribute to the ‘Bank with a Heart’ in appreciati­on of distinct value addition identified and perfected to foster total education.

It inaugurate­d the doors wide open to captioned students of other schools in the suburbs and also across the country in the coming months. Forum contents were precisely modulated to suit the syllabus with the commendabl­e assistance of Soma Malawaraar­achchi, together with the initial authority granted by U.K. Daya Ukwatte. The bank also appreciate­d the subsequent support received from Sriyani Ahangama and the President of Commerce Union of D.S. Senanyake College. Veteran bankers were chosen from various divisions of Seylan Bank, some of whom represent- ing the senior management to deliver the lectures. The lectures were also perfectly equipped with multimedia interface and other tangibles bringing verve to demonstrat­ions being made. Students were delighted as they could picture their leanings as replicated with their practical point of view. The bank expects all commerce students to excel in their examinatio­ns to follow, taking into considerat­ion the platform being constructe­d to establish theories learnt in the classroom with firm footing for productive intellectu­al outsets, which is vitally beneficial for the self and also the nation in the long run.
