The Flag and Whistle Restaurant at Setmil Maritime Centre, Colombo 15 was recently adjudged the best restaurant in Colombo from among 750. It indeed takes you on a delicious voyage giving you that ‘SHIP FEEL’ once you enter Flag and Whistle. The spaciousne­ss, courteous service and above all the food variety topped by ample parking space deserves a visit if you are looking for a decent dining option.

As you enter Flag and Whistle it gives the feeling that you are entering a ship’s deck or some part of a vessel. With a considerab­le range of old-school shipping equipment only available at maritime museums but easily housed inside a restaurant enhances the richness. The restaurant is with several decks and rails as if it is a ship. With the upper deck exclusive for private functions is accessible riding a moderate elevator, obviously found inside a ship. The two open areas gives you a panoramic view from North to South of the Port of Colombo.
