Flemingo Duty Free unveiled its new corporate logo and strap line to commemorate 15 years of operation globally and the completion of one year of operations in Sri Lanka.

“As we cross the 15-year milestone, we have changed our brand elements and repositioned Flemingo as a global travel, retail and duty free operator, keeping in mind the company’s vision and its direction for the future.” Independent director, Flemingo International, Paul Topping said.

Flemingo also announced the launch of Spirited, a duty free venture which will include a portfolio of premium wine and spirit brands from across the world.

“We are committed to drive product knowledge and service-driven programmes by bringing principals from various wine producing countries in the coming months through our ‘Spirited’ venture.” Sri Lanka is an extremely vibrant market which offers a great deal in terms of quality in the service industry. With an anticipated double digit growth in the tourism industry, we hope to play an important role in the country’s growth as well as the growth of tourism going forward,” Topping stated.

Flemingo has averaged an impressive 80% growth per annum and the company is currently targeting US$ 2 billion by the end of 2012.

The duty free retailer currently operates across 3 continents with 118 outlets in 26 countries, with a primary focus on emerging markets including countries like Sri Lanka, India, Maldives, Mauritius, Poland, Ukraine and a strong presence across Africa.
