Lanka dancesport Council presents DANCE SUNDAY ON SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 25

The Lanka Dancesport Council (LDC) which is affiliated to the World Dance Council comprises of a group of dedicated dance teachers, profession­als, amateurs and dance enthusiast­s in Sri Lanka. As Dancesport is now included in the Asian Games, the main objectives of this council is to develop Dancesport in Sri Lanka, which will open up avenues for dance enthusiast­s to more profession­al training as well as create opportunit­ies for the public to enjoy this beautiful form of art.

In keeping with this program, LDC has organized ‘Dance Sunday,' which is an all-day event open to the general public on Sunday, November 25, 2012 at Women's Internatio­nal Hall in Guilford Crescent, Colombo 7.

The day's program will comprise of Dance Workshops from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and will be followed by a Dance Party from 6 p.m. onwards. This is the first time ever an event of this nature is being organized to introduce the many different types of dances. The public will have an opportunit­y to learn to dance from leading Sri Lankan dance teachers at the workshops conducted throughout the day. The workshops are Latin, Ballroom, Hip Hop, Salsa, Bachata, Zumba and Kids Dance. There will also be food and drink stalls and many other interestin­g activities taking place to make this a fun day out with family and friends. This event is Powered by Dialog.
