-

A brand new corporate identity, another world’s best title and 29 new routes launched and counting; AirAsia Berhad enters into its 11th year of operations with a birthday bash with fares from as low as 11 cents, exclusive of airport taxes and fees. In appreciation of the support for the airline by its Sri Lankan passengers, AirAsia is offering an all inclusive return air fare, to Kuala Lumpur and back for LKR 16,699 (RM 390) only. The promo is available for online bookings as well as with Jetwing Travels, Classic Travels and Setmill Travels.

AirAsia’s 11th Birthday Bash promotion will feature many exciting as well as popular domestic and international destinations for the upcoming year-end and New Year’s travel period. Fly from Kuala Lumpur to Penang, Langkawi, Terengganu, Kota Bahru and Alor Setar, as well as from Kota Kinabalu to Tawau, Sandakan, Miri and more with an all-in-fare from as low as LKR1125 (RM26.11).

All-in-fares to international destinations such as Singapore, Phnom Penh, Hat Yai, Krabi, Surat Thani and more start from as low as LKR 2250 (RM52.11), while beautiful Bali, metropolitan Hong Kong, pristine Clark and scenic Hanoi are up for grabs from as low as LKR 3320 (RM77.11) one way. Asean cities such as Jakarta, Solo, Surabaya and Yangon are also available with an all-in-fares from as low as LKR2700 (RM62.11) oneway.

The 11th Birthday Bash promotion will be available for booking from Monday, 26 November – 2 December 2012 at AirAsia’s website, www.airasia.com for the travel peri- od from 3 December 2012 – 31 March 2013. Guests are also able to book their flights via AirAsia’s new and improved mobile apps as well which are available for download at Apple’s App Store for iPhone, Google’s Play Store for Android phones, or at mobile.airasia.com for WAP enabled phones. AirAsia stomped into the year of the Dragon with a celebration of its 100th Airbus A320 adorned with a dragon livery in January. A brand new corporate identity was announced later in May, offering a fresher, simpler outlook but retaining the vivacious brand values that AirAsia is known for. Barely two months later, AirAsia was awarded the World’s Best Low-Cost Airline for the fourth consecutive year by Skytrax and this reaffirms the airline’s position as one that caters value for money to guests.

And as AirAsia’s 11th anniversary draws closer, the airline will continue to chart a growth path that will enhance guests’ traveling experience and increase service quality. Aireen Omar, Chief Executive Officer of AirAsia Berhad commented, “AirAsia Berhad is turning 11 very soon, and this would not have been possible without the support of our guests. It is exciting for me as I assumed the role only from July this year, and seeing what AirAsia has grown into in its 11th year of operations motivates me further to provide more value for our guests and to keep the AirAsia promise of affordable travel for all.” “We hope to strengthen our route network and connectivity which spans to over 85 destinations across nearly 24 countries moving forward, and this 11th Birthday Bash promotion showcases how easy it is for our guests to connect to various destinations from the numerous hubs we operate from around the region,” added Aireen.

Guests are also able to pre-book their in-flight meals with a wide variety of hot meals available onboard with an option to book up to two meals for each guest. Check-in baggage allocation, inflight meals, Pick-A-Seat, travel insurance and more are all available online and guests are able to add or make changes to their booking very simply through ‘Manage My Booking’.
