YAAYA 4 ON SWARNAVAHINI EVERY SUNDAY

-

Chamara Janaraj Peiris who directed some noteworthy tele serials including award-winning ‘Ayal’ and the hit creation ‘Piyawi’ is returning to the small screen with his latest creation ‘Yaaya 4’ which started to unspool on Swarnavahini every Sunday at 9 pm from yesterday.

The story is primarily woven around three families living in a village bordering an evergreen forest reserve which is virtually cut off from the outer world. The family of Gunapala and Kusuma is an exemplary one.

Cultivation is their main source of income. They have two daughters – Paarami and Kaavindi. Elder daughter Paarami is a studious and ambitious girl who has entered medical college. Kaavindi is an OL student who is sensitive to the environment. The second family comprises a mother, son and daughter. Villagers believe that the son Kaavinga is dumb with unusual behavioural patterns. Daughter Sajani is a classmate of Kaavindi. The village hospital’s only doctor and his family is the third family. Their lifestyle and behaviour has a significant impact on the isolated village.

A beautiful girl called Shakya with peculiar mannerism, a village guy called Thimira and Nuwanga are three other characters that are linked to the main story. An NGO purportedly keen to protect the environment enters this tranquil village and eventually turns it upside down.

The diverse characteristics of the key roles portraying simplicity and at times the complex and perplexed nature produces to the audiences a wide variety in terms of thoughtful entertainment. It depicts incidents how the calmness and quietness of a simple village could be ruffled by the intrusion of complex foreign influences.
