Science paper leak: CID questions Exam Dept. staff

The CID has for the past couple of days being questioning the officials attached to the computer section of the Examinations Department over the alleged leak in the GCE O/L Science Paper, Minister Bandula Gunawardane said yesterday.

He said if the question paper had been leaked, the maximum possible punishment would be meted out to those responsible irrespective of their positions.

Several national examinations held in recent times, had been marred by allegations of question paper leaks. The Education Ministry had also announced a series of steps to modernize the Department.
