Science paper leak: CID questions Exam Dept. staff

The CID has for the past couple of days being questionin­g the officials attached to the computer section of the Examinatio­ns Department over the alleged leak in the GCE O/L Science Paper, Minister Bandula Gunawardan­e said yesterday.

He said if the question paper had been leaked, the maximum possible punishment would be meted out to those responsibl­e irrespecti­ve of their positions.

Several national examinatio­ns held in recent times, had been marred by allegation­s of question paper leaks. The Education Ministry had also announced a series of steps to modernize the Department.
