Teacher who leaked answers of Science paper a journo?

It is dubious as to why Minister Gunawardena had not issued an official statement concerning the alleged leak of the 2012 O/L Science paper I

The Ceylon Teachers Union (CTU) claimed that the private tuition teacher who allegedly distributed model Science papers, that included questions that were similar to the actual science paper I of the 2012 O/L examination, was also a contributor to an educational journal published by a well known media establishment.

CTU General Secretary Joseph Stalin speaking to Daily Mirror said that the tuition teacher in question had set the model Science paper in the said education journal’s December issue. “This education journal has been endorsed by Education Minister Bandula Gunawardena as well in a message that has been included in it. In his message to the readers, he has praised the tutors who have contributed to the newspaper including this tutor in question,” Mr. Sta- lin says. However, he says it is dubious as to why Minister Gunawardena had not issued an official statement concerning the alleged leak of the 2012 O/L Science paper I.

The credibility of the 2012 O/L examination was challenged last Saturday, when speculations concerning an alleged leak of the Science paper I began circulating. The rumours started when some 19 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) that was included in a model paper distributed at a private tuition class, were repeated word-for-word in the O/L science paper I as well.
