Exchanges even at Moratuwa

Exchanges were even on day one in the Under 19 cricket encounter between St Sebastian’s and St Anne’s Kurunegala played at St Sebastian’s ground in Moratuwa.

St Anne’s taking first lease of the wicket were bowled out for a low score of 125 with skipper and right arm spinner Anushka Perera who ended with a figure of 6 for 21 doing the damage.

In reply St Sebastian’s too were made to struggle for their runs as they lost wickets at regular intervals before ending the day on 138 for 7. The match will be continued today.

Taxila MMV Horana dominated the first day’s proceeding­s in their match against St Sebastian’s Katuneriya in the match played at Katuneriya. Taxila MMV having made a score of 199 bowled out the home team for 118. Taxila batting the second time ended the day on seven for no loss.
