Housemaid robs employer

Police arrested a woman who was alleged to have robbed a house belonging to a doctor attached to the Karapitiya Teaching Hospital.

She had removed cash and jewellery worth about Rs.600,000. Police said she was employed as a housemaid, who was recruited through an employment agency in Dehiwala.

The Galle police are investigating.
