Seven wanted suspects arrested

Seven people against whom there were several open warrants were arrested during a search operation in Mirissa on Wednesday night.

The raids were carried out by personnel from the Weligama police.

The suspects were wanted for drug peddling, the selling of kasippu and several thefts in the area. They are to be produced before the Matara Magistrate.
