DJ Ryan spinning magic

-

DJ Ryan of Pro DJ Entertainment belongs to the happening tribe. With the demand for disc jockeys rapidly rising and being an important part in a party's must-have menu, Ryan Anthony Harsha Tennekoon took up the beat challenge ten years ago. Today he owns Pro DJ Entertainment with valuable support coming from DJ cum dance choreographer Aravinda who also owns a dance troupe. He is the leader of the Gampaha Fire Birds dance team.

These DJ specialists who have earned a special name for themselves in the Colombo and the suburbs have that special knack of making people dance to their tunes instead of simply toe-tapping.

The DJ who specialises in weddings, parties, get-togethers or any other occasion plays any type of

music from English, Sinhala, Tamil and Hindi, the 80'S, R&B, HIPHOP, DANCE, HOUSE, ELECTRO, TECHNO genres, to Sinhala classic, dance and baila not forgetting to garnish the event with Hindi and Tamil numbers.

An old Josephian, Ryan was an accidental visitor to the world of tunes. One day while playing cricket with his friends he went in search of a lost ball from the neighbourhood. But interestingly the ball was retrieved from the home of a professional DJ who became his mentor.

At 17, Ryan began DJing at street promotions and various other promotions. In December, 2003 Ryan played his first open air show to mark the opening of Snow City at Excel World (Millennium Park). In 2004 Ryan performed his second live show at the 2004 Josephian walk in his own Disco stall which got him all the courage and strength from his family and friends. He Dj'ed his first club event 'Rebirth at Club Cocoon' organized by flash out crew on August 15, 2009, with some famous like DJ Brian, Nishan Lee and Van Luup. Driven by ambition, enthusiasm and pure passion for music, he has learnt the art of making the crowd go wild with his magical spin in his unique mind-blowing style.
