For its distinctive design, excellent accommodation options, pleasant and dedicated staff, Colombo Courtyard has jumped all the ranks to become No. 2 on popular travel website, TripAdvisor.com, in its first year of operation. This year, after a successful yet still-growing venture in providing great ambience and entertainment, Colombo Courtyard is taking an extra step by opening a poolside facility. Elegant yet minimalistic, the swimming pool offers guests a relaxing and rejuvenating experience, inviting one to get away from the heat of the city by dipping in its cooling waters or simply lounge by its side.

With the opening of the poolside, guests will now have more space for recreation and relaxation. The new poolside will also include a luxurious spa and a fully-equipped gymnasium, allowing guests and Colombo’s fitness fanatics and pleasure seekers the ultimate pampering experience. Surrounded by lush greenery, the poolside will also feature stunningly crafted seating, sun beds, and a pool bar. Those who find Colombo Courtyard the ideal location for a party, cocktail or any other special occasion can also host the perfect event at the new poolside, which can hold up to over 200 persons.

Arun K. Thapar, Proprietor of Colombo Courtyard, is very proud of its unique, contemporary style and rustic elements, which provides the finest residential experience in the city of Colombo, with plush deluxe and superior rooms and suites, even other hoteliers talk about. Each room is elegantly designed and tastefully furnished with modern amenities to create a peaceful ambience. Each suite is equipped with a 21 inch Apple computer, and a cappuccino maker providing guests maximum comfort and luxury within their reach. The new poolside wing includes seven state-of-the-art rooms, adjacent to the hotel’s pool as well as a Jacuzzi. Free Wi-Fi in the entire hotel and its outlets is another plus for the service it offers to its guests.

Crafted around the concept of a series of open spaces, conscious lighting patterns and the use of recycled material in its unique sculptures and artful décor, stepping in, you will leave the clutter behind. The hotel is conveniently located in the centre of Colombo’s busiest area, making it a central location, within close proximity to some of the city’s most important offices, institutions and attractions. Carefully designed by environmentalist leading architect Sunela Jayawardena, the hotel uses innovative energy-saving technology and maintains lush greenery within its premises.

Set on three levels, Colombo Courtyard also offers a variety of dining experiences. The exquisite Scarlet Room serves fine European cuisine as well as an eclectic menu of flavourpacked Mediterranean specialties and Asian favourites.

French pastry chef, Jean Pierr adds a variety of mouth watering deserts to complete the cuisine. The restaurant is able to seat up to 48 diners. The industrial-style, 80-seat Loft Lounge Bar, decorated with curious furnishing made of recycled materials, offers an extensive range of select beverages, including some of the finest cocktails for the first time in Colombo.
