Malee 2 ‘Aththamma’ unspools from next Monday

The second part of the popular tele serial ‘Malee’ will unspool on TV Derana from next Monday March 18 at 9 pm every weekday. The tele serial titled ‘Aththamma’ is produced by Janaka Siriwardana and directed by Thilina Boralessa based on a script by Sunanda Silva.

The lead roles are played by Duleeka Marapana, Sarath Chandrasiri, Gihan Fernando, Hashinika Karalliyadda, Srimal Wedisinghe, Anura Bandara Rajaguru, Shakya Theekshani, Pushpa Gunawardana, Shashika Peiris, Niluka Rekhani, Jayantha Muthuthanthri, Ashen Hettiarachchi, Sachintha Umayanga Kalubowila, Thishuna Perera and others.

Sanjith Rathnakara has handled the make up, Nilantha Ranasinghe the art direction, Waruna Roshan and Suranjith Kumara the camera and Jagath Weeratunga the editing. Janaka Fonseka has directed the music.

Malee’s new born baby daughter Saradi cannot live with her par- ents for 21 years because of a malefic condition in Nirmal’s horoscope. Dingiri Amma who knew about this even before Saradi’s birth. Dingiri Amma brings up Saradi in her home and the Mudunagala villagers are made to believe that the child is Muthu’s.

The story infolds when Saradi is eight years old. Ukkuwa’s only son Nandipala comes to reside in the Mudunagala with his wife and son. Raju is 12 years old. Raju’s best friend is Chamara. Raju is very fond of Saradi. Ukkuwa and Dingiri Amma often clash with each other. Finally when the hidden truth begins to surface, new twists begin to emerge creating tension. Will Ukkuwa consent to the affair between Saradi and Raju, knowing that Saradi is Malee’s daughter? Will Saradi finally marry Daraka and Raju?
