Samsung focuses on innovation; unveils new products
The Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd unveiled its latest product range at the ‘Southwest Asia Forum 2013’ held at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre (India) on March 1, marking the latest breakthrough in technology in Samsung panel televisions, smartphones, personal computers, printers, cameras, home appliances, medical devices, semiconductors and LED solutions.
Among the latest products launched were the world’s first 8 inch tablet, the GALAXY Note 510, the extended lineup of premium professional-grade monitors, the new Smart TV lineup, enhanced Series 7 Chronos and new ultrabooks, NX 300 camera, Top Mounted Freezer (RT42) and the new Wobble Washing Machine.
Leading its charge to deliver the ultimate lean back experience to consumers in the region, Samsung launched its flagship F8000 LED TV, the first Samsung television to feature a quad-core processor.
In addition it also introduced its first 85-inch Ultra High Definition TV, the 85S9 that has a stunning Timeless Gallery design setting a new standard for TV craftsmanship, with the TV appearing to float within its frame. Furthermore, the HT-F9750W is Samsung’s flagship 7.1 channel home theatre system and is the perfect companion to the 2013 Smart TVs.
The new Smart Hub has also been completely resigned, with 2013 Smart TVs providing a new world of possibilities in search, navigation and content discovery.
The new PC line-up consists of two new devices that combine powerful performance with design excellence. The powerful new Series 7 Chronos and the portable Series 7 Ultra Notebook are equipped to handle both work and entertainment applications. It delivers a professional performance, providing up to a 150 percent increase in speed for browsing and running apps, acting as a true desktop replacement.
Samsung is staying true to its vision for Smart Cameras by delivering the latest camera technology and driving change in the digital imaging landscape. The newest addition to the Samsung NX range, the NX300 blends exceptional image quality and capture capabilities with increased speed and shot control. In addition to the Smart Camera capabilities of NX300, Samsung also launched the WB250F, the WB800F, WB30F, DV150F and ST150F.
Being the global leader in the mobile industry, Samsung also introduced a new era of intelligent Note technology with the GALAXY Note 510, the latest addition to the GALAXY Note family. Combining the best of a tablet, note, diary and an eBook reader, the Note 510 is the ideal companion designed to change how people navigate their lives every day. Furthermore, recognizing that enterprise solutions are central to achieving B2B market success, Samsung also launched Samsung KNOX, that provides powerful security for both work and play.
The new Samsung refrigerator (RT42) sporting a contemporary design with a solid finish comes with additional features such as excellent cooling performance, energy savings and noise reduction.
In the digital home appliances segment, the new Samsung Wobble washing machine (WA16) features Samsung’s wobble technology that prevents fabric damage caused by friction without compromising washing performance.
To enable expert cooking capabilities to consumers, Samsung also unveiled the Smart Oven (MC32F606) that features smart cooking capabilities. The appliance saves consumer’s storage space in the kitchen, as well as time and effort when preparing healthy, tasty meals.
According to Samsung Electronics Company, many of these products launched will find their way into the Indian market soon while their availability in Sri Lanka will depend on demand.
