For the last five days the issue dragged on without any settlement, despite the fact that this school was one of the most popular institutions in the area, and the parents blamed the Beruwala Zonal Education Office, Kalutara Zonal Education Office and the Western Province education authorities for their lackadaisical attitude in resolving the matter.

Attempts to contact the Director of Education, Ms Priyani Mudalige at the Zonal Education Office, Kalutara, had been futile.
