St. Sylvester’s and Vidyartha set for clash

-

St. Sylvester’s College Kandy will take on Vidyartha College in their 27th limited over clash for the M.B. Mediwake trophy to be played at the Asgiriya Stadium, Kandy tomorrow with play commencing at 9.45 am

Though the Vidyarthaians have a slight edge, the Sylvestrians will be at full strength as most of the players who were on the injured list have recovered well enough to give strength to their side.

With dark clouds in the skies especially in the afternoons there is a possibility of interference by the rain.

Of the 26 matches which had been played the Sylvestrians have won 18 against 4 by Vidyartha College while 4 matches have been washed off by the rains.

Vidyartha College led by Muditha Elpitiya had a slight edge at last week’s big match scoring 180 and their opponents replied with 79 for be- fore it started raining.
