Kusal Perera slammed a career best knock of 289 n.o. helping Colts make a mammoth 519 for 6 against Saracens SC on day one in their Premier league cricket encounter played at the Colts ground.

The mammoth score could most probably be highest ever to be scored in the first day of a first class match in Sri Lanka. Kusal’s unbeaten knock which came off just 232 balls comprised 24 boundaries and 13 towering sixes. The match will be continued today.
