Staff of Salon Nayana excel at SLAHAB 2013

The Sri Lanka Association of Hairdressers and Beauticians (SLAHAB) held its 16th annual National Awards recently at the Golden Ballroom, Hotel Galadari. The two-day programme was a gala of glitz and glamour, comprising 27 different categories of hairdressing and make up ending with awards being presented at the grand finale on the final day. 11 staff members of Salon Nayana were rewarded for their hard work, talent and dedication winning titles in all the categories at this momentous occasion.

The staff of Salon Nayana shone when they received awards from a cross section of categories, and their results were judged based on professional achievements, quality, consistency and timeless styles and designs. Their leading-edge, award-winning styles represented a meaningful change in today's approach to beauty, and the amazing innovations reflected high-end treatments in every beauty category, truly delivering the promise of beauty with a difference.

Several high profile figures in the industry attended the event and top industry brands supported the event such as Wella L' Oreal, Sarita Textorium, Dove, Stiefel.

Nayana Karunaratne, a hair dresser, beautician and trainer has been a great asset to the personal care industry. She is the first Sri Lankan entrepreneur who ventured into business in India and has created a name all over India as one of the strongest hair and beauty personalities in the world. Nayana is the Founder President of SLAHAB (Sri Lankan Association of Hair Dressers And Beauticians).
