SWIM DOUBLE FOR RAO AND VIJAYAKUMAR
Sita Rao and B.R.G. Vijaykumar of India swam to a double each when they emerged the Individual Swimming and Sea Swim champions respectively at the Masters Inter Club Short Course Swimming Gala and one km. Surf to Mount Open Sea Swim conducted by the Rainbow Aquatics Club.
While Sita Rao claimed her double in the 60 to 69 age group, Vijayakumar won his double in the over 70 years segment.
One hundred and eighty four swimmers participated in the Short Course event and 71 in the Open Sea Swim, while 21 of them were from India.
Women 20 to 24 age group: Individual swimming champion – Shari Amarasuriya. Sea swim winner – Christine Perera.
