SEASON 5 PROVINCIAL PREMIER LEAGUE

Auditions held in Jaffna, Vavuniya, Batticaloa, Kandy and Colombo

After the phenomenal success of 4 seasons of Shakthi Superstars - the much acclaimed Tamil musical reality show, Shakthi TV, now brings a novel variation to the 5th season.

‘Shakthi Superstar Season 5 - Provincial Premier League’ which started last week, will be telecast every Saturday & Sunday at 7 pm.

It will have participants from 4 provinces challenging each other in their quest for glory. The 4 provincial teams are Eastern Thunders, Northern Challengers, Central Champs & Western Stars. The captains of the 4 provincial teams are chosen from the previous seasons of Shakthi Superstars.

The initial round will have a total of 100 contestants – 25 from each province. After various rounds of eliminations, the grand finale will have 4 contestants - 1 representing each province and the winner of the final will be crowned as the ‘Shakthi Superstar Provincial Premier League Champion’.

Another important feature in Season 5 is that the age limit has been kept open for participants from 16 years and above, thereby giving a platform for participants across age-groups.

The auditions for Shakthi Superstar Provincial Premier League was held in Jaffna, Vavuniya, Batticaloa, Kandy & Colombo and attracted a huge number of participants at every venue.
