FONSEKA – BOSCO – Beloved husband of Mary (Rani), much loved thathie of Natasha (UK), Bishen and Natalie, father-inlaw of Shohan (UK) and Subhashini, darling grandpa of Emily and Kieron (UK), Rishni and Malish, son of the late Bonnie and Annie Fonseka, brother of the late Doreen, Placidus and of Therese and the late Silvyn, expired. Remains will lie at the residence from 3 p.m. on 23rd April. Cortege leaves residence at 4 p.m. on Thursday April 25th for burial at St. Thomas’ Church, Kotte. Cortege leaves residence No. 04, Beach Road, Mt. Lavinia at 4.00 pm on Wednesday 24th April. Burial at the General Cemetery, Borella (R.C. Section).

HARADASA - R.Y.W. Dearly loved wife of the late L.H.L. Haradasa, adored mother of the late Tilak, Kumara, Chandra, the late Upali and Hemamal, Ramya, Mahinda and Priyantha, mother-in-law of Chandrika, Asoka, Glennis and Yasmin, grandmother of Dilhan, Mathri, Buddika, Asanka, Rohan, Sumali, Emma, Amahl, Isuru, Dilan, Ayesha, Nishadh and Tasneem, great grandmother of Ayaash, Rumali, Dilmi, Vidun, Vinuk, Chanuth and Finlay, sister of the late D. Abeysuriya, R.G.W Nilaweera and R.S.W. Nilaweera, passed away peacefully on Sunday 21st April 2013. Her remains will leave No. 121/16, Duwa Road, Beddegana, Pitakotte at 2.00 pm on Wednesday 24th April 2013 to be handed over to the Colombo Medical College according to her wishes. No flowers by request.

MENDIS ABEYSEKERA - HUMPHREY, darling husband of Sunethra (nee Jayasinghe), loving father of Thushara and Imara, father-in-law of Yasindha Kumarasinghe (Baharain) and Vishal Rodrigo (Tennant Holdings Pvt. Ltd.), much loved grandfather of Lilumi and Aalok, brother of Dr. Neil Abeysekera, late Shirley, Krishanthi and Nelum, brother-in-law of Dr. Daya Abeysekera, late Macrea, late Rufus, Shanthi, Dhulka, Yamuna, Athula, Manorie, Ian, Anslem, Maurice and Carmen and Nelson. Remains lie at A.F. Raymond’s funeral parlour, cortege leaves the parlour at 3.00 p.m. on Wednesday 24th April for burial at Madampitiya Cemetery (R.C. Section) at 4.30 p.m.

PERERA-ALEX - Beloved husband of Swarna, father of Randika, Sayuri and Prasad, expired in Japan on Tuesday 16th April. Ashes will be at the Jayaratne funeral parlour, Borella from 9 am, Buddhist rites at the parlour at 10 am, interment of ashes at the General Cemetery, Kanatte (General Section) at 12.15 pm on Thursday 2nd May.

PERERA - SHIRLY (Safe in the arms of Jesus) – Dearly beloved wife of late Ranjith, ever loving mother of Shanis, Dilrukshi (Qatar), Sheran (Pan Asia Colour Yarn) and Ashani, loving mother-in-law of Dulip (Galadari), Shantha (Qatar Airways), Niluka (Holy Family Convent) and Pradeep (Printcare), loving sister of Maximus (Canada), late Monika, Fabian (Canada) and Hamilton, sister-in-law of Philomena (Canada), Swarna, Roma, Marini (USA) and Chitrani. Cortege leaves residence No. 126, Church Road, Mattakkuliya at 4.00 pm on 24th April 2013 for burial at Madampitiya Cemetery.

RATHANAWALI - SRIMATHI - wife of late Mr. Sirisoma Dayananada Chief Inspector of Police, mother of Lakshman Dayananda, Premasiri Dyananda, Ranadewa Dayananda, Kithsiri Dayananda, Ranjith Dayananda, Sarath Dayananda, Lal Dayananda, Dhammika Dayananda and Kanthi Dayananda, expired on the 22nd April 2013. Body will be at her residence, No. 72, Lesley Ranagala Mawatha, Colombo 8 till 10 am today and removed to funeral parlour Jayarathna florist at Borella Kanaththa junction. Cremation will be held at 5 pm today the 24th April at Borella Kanaththa.

WEERASOORIYA – SITA (Retired Teacher Royal College, Colombo), passed away, wife of late Bertie, beloved mother of Premila and Ravi (Geveo Australasia), mother-in-law of Amal (University of Moratuwa) and Charuni, sister of Chitra (Australia) and Rahal (Australia), loving grandmother of Aloka, Arush, Amali and Aminda. Cortege leaves residence No. 34, M.J.C. Fernando Mawatha, Idama, Moratuwa at 10.00 am on Thursday 25th April, cremation at the Rawatawatte General Cemetery at 10.30 am.

WIJESOMA MRS.M.A.I– Dearly loved wife of late S.D. Gunasena (Retired Teacher), mother of Uditha, Udara, Udana, Mahagamage Ariyalatha (Teacher, Kottawa Dharmapala Vidyalaya and Indrani Wijesoma, passed away peacefully. Funeral will take place on 24.04.2013 at 6.00 pm at the Kottawa Cemetery.
