SL Baseball to hold two tournaments in June and July.

Sri Lankan Amateur Baseball/Softball Association media conference was held on June 4 in Colombo. The purpose of the conference was to reveal the action plan for the year 2013 and to promote the two tournaments that will be held in June and July.The two tournaments are * SLT National Knockout Baseball Championship 2013 and * Sri Lanka Baseball Classics 2013 for SLT Cup

The event was sponsored by Sri Lanka Telecom and the sponsorship cheque was handed over to the President of the Association.Kalinga Indatissa by the CEO of Sri Lanka Telecom- Lalith De Silva.Video presentations were done in relation to the two tournaments and the six teams of the Sri Baseball Lanka Classic were introduced.

President in his speech thanked the media for their support so far and requested them to join hand s with the Association by giving the maximum publicity to the game. Also he highlighted the developments that were taking place by the IBAF in reinstating Baseball in 2020 Olympics.Chief Executive Officer of Sri Lanka Telecom Lalith De Silva said that the de- cision to sponsor baseball was taken after a careful study of the Action Plan which was forwarded to them by the Association and emphasized their willingness to support further in developing the game of baseball in the country.
