Construction Expo 2013 to kick off next week
Construction Expo 2013, the countries only comprehensive exhibition related to all facets of the construction industry is scheduled to be held at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Hall on the 14th, 15th and the 16th of June 2013 for the 2nd consecutive year.
The event which is considered the central meeting point of all stakeholders related to the construction industry will feature the entire gamut of industry players who will show case all their latest technological developments, products and portfolios during the three day event.
With heavy emphasis laid on infrastructure development in the country together with the booming economy Sri Lanka has been seen as one of the most potent destinations for all construction related equipment and services.
The rapid developments projects that have been planned and forecasted by the government which include major expansion and investment in the North together with continuous emphasis on development in the South has made the island nation a hub for all stakeholders related to the industry.
The exhibition, therefore is set to cater to all markets and stakeholders making it a central meeting point to network, exchange technologies and ideas, network and expand their products portfolios and services in order to keeping line with the rapid progress in development witnessed across the country.
Chairman of the organizing committee of Construction Expo 2013, Mahanama Jayamanna said that the event will give all visitors and participants the best opportunity to experience the wide array of products and services on offer in Sri Lanka.
The event will feature participation of both private and government entities who play a pivotal role in the construction industry of the country.
The event will also have incorporated events which would be conducted by a specialized set of experts who are considered giants in their chosen field of expertise.
CME Asia, the only exhibition related to construction machinery and equipment will also be held on the side lines of the mega event. CME Asia will have a compete exhibitor profile of equipment related to the industry including quarries, digging machines, road maintenance machines and equipment, tower cranes, mobile cranes etc.
The event supported by the Board of Investment and the Sri Lanka Convention bureau is set to attract, as in the past year, a vast array of visitors who will provide all participants with an ideal market mix. The visitors of the exhibition will have the annual opportunity to experience network and communicate with the entire gamut of the construction industry.
The event will also include separate counseling and financial services stall holders who will provide all advice relating to infrastructure development.
