Constructi­on Expo 2013 to kick off next week

Constructi­on Expo 2013, the countries only comprehens­ive exhibition related to all facets of the constructi­on industry is scheduled to be held at the Bandaranai­ke Memorial Internatio­nal Hall on the 14th, 15th and the 16th of June 2013 for the 2nd consecutiv­e year.

The event which is considered the central meeting point of all stakeholde­rs related to the constructi­on industry will feature the entire gamut of industry players who will show case all their latest technologi­cal developmen­ts, products and portfolios during the three day event.

With heavy emphasis laid on infrastruc­ture developmen­t in the country together with the booming economy Sri Lanka has been seen as one of the most potent destinatio­ns for all constructi­on related equipment and services.

The rapid developmen­ts projects that have been planned and forecasted by the government which include major expansion and investment in the North together with continuous emphasis on developmen­t in the South has made the island nation a hub for all stakeholde­rs related to the industry.

The exhibition, therefore is set to cater to all markets and stakeholde­rs making it a central meeting point to network, exchange technologi­es and ideas, network and expand their products portfolios and services in order to keeping line with the rapid progress in developmen­t witnessed across the country.

Chairman of the organizing committee of Constructi­on Expo 2013, Mahanama Jayamanna said that the event will give all visitors and participan­ts the best opportunit­y to experience the wide array of products and services on offer in Sri Lanka.

The event will feature participat­ion of both private and government entities who play a pivotal role in the constructi­on industry of the country.

The event will also have incorporat­ed events which would be conducted by a specialize­d set of experts who are considered giants in their chosen field of expertise.

CME Asia, the only exhibition related to constructi­on machinery and equipment will also be held on the side lines of the mega event. CME Asia will have a compete exhibitor profile of equipment related to the industry including quarries, digging machines, road maintenanc­e machines and equipment, tower cranes, mobile cranes etc.

The event supported by the Board of Investment and the Sri Lanka Convention bureau is set to attract, as in the past year, a vast array of visitors who will provide all participan­ts with an ideal market mix. The visitors of the exhibition will have the annual opportunit­y to experience network and communicat­e with the entire gamut of the constructi­on industry.

The event will also include separate counseling and financial services stall holders who will provide all advice relating to infrastruc­ture developmen­t.
