SLIIT commences enrolment for MSC. degrees

SLIIT has commenced enrolment for the UGC approved SLIIT MSc. degree programmes as well as the MSc. in Enterprise Applicatio­ns Developmen­t (EAD) in collaborat­ion with academic partner Sheffield Hallam University (UK).

SLIIT offers flexible two-year master’s degree programmes consisting of four semesters each, offered in the following streams: the MSc. in Informatio­n Technology, which has been specifical­ly designed for graduates in the fields of informatio­n technology, computer science and computer engineerin­g, providing participan­ts with core advanced knowledge and skills in IT, which is supplement­ed by a range of options within the areas of software engineerin­g, computer networks, e-business technologi­es, database management, and business informatio­n systems.

The degree is designed to focus on current industry trends and emerging developmen­ts in IT, in addition to providing in-depth knowledge concerning advanced topics for participan­ts to competentl­y function as high-level specialist­s, advisors, consultant­s, pro- ject managers and practition­ers in the field of IT.

The MSc. in Infor mation Management has been designed for graduates and members of profession­al bodies with manage- rial experience. This programme gives participan­ts a real edge in modern business developmen­t and planning using informatio­n management tools and equips students with the informatio­n management skills and technical background necessary to function in an organisati­on effectivel­y in fast changing business environmen­ts with increasing use of technology.

On completion of the programme, participan­ts will be able to utilize informatio­n management systems effectivel­y within organisati­ons and to evaluate and select appropriat­e methods and technologi­es for representi­ng, transformi­ng and disseminat­ing informatio­n. This will enable participan­ts to develop a critical awareness of modern IT applicatio­ns in informatio­n management and decision making and to learn how business processes can be augmented with IT solutions to manage corporate performanc­e.
