The night AXE Provoke made Angels fall…

-

arty-goers thronged to Buba Beach in Mount Lavinia by the hundreds on May 18th for the unveiling of the new Axe Provoke at a sensational, soldout event featuring some of the country's top local DJs, including Asvajith, Shiyam, Yazz, Upul, Dhanushka and Jay Vibes. Wearing white, in keeping with the party's angelic theme, attendees were greeted by an elaborate set-piece showing a surreal, 'heaven on earth' environment. It was a fun night where revellers joined together, spurred on by rythmic music, in anticipation of the great reveal which had been promised. At around midnight, it happened... The Axe Provoke Fallen Angels descended to Earth, and the party hit its crescendo.

Culminating in the May 18th sold-out beach party, the launch of the new Axe Provoke kicked off just ten days prior with the Axe Provoke Fallen Angels, Evangeline, Angela, Celeste and Daphne, frequenting Colombo's hot spots, where they socialised with patrons and talked about the party, and even handed out samples of Axe Provoke. Some guests at the venues, which included the World Trade Centre, Sky Lounge at the Kingsbury hotel, Seven Degrees North and the Library at the Cinnamon Lakeside hotel, the Union Bar at the Hilton Residence (formerly JAIC), and R&B and KAMA, were even lucky enough to receive personal invitations to the exclusive, sold-out May 18th Axe Provoke launch beach party. At the same time, as these Fallen Angels were 'appearing' all around Colombo, the Axe Provoke Sri Lanka Facebook fan page heated up with conjecture and gossip about who these Fallen Angels were and what they were doing, ultimately leading to 30,000 Likes on Facebook.

Commenting on the launch of the new Axe Provoke, Unilever's Brand Manager for Axe, Gayan Rupasinghe, said; "Axe Provoke is presently the number one variant across the Axe range of products so we wanted to do something spectacular and unique to launch the new Axe Provoke in Sri Lanka, especially as our last big local campaign was five years ago.We felt this would be best accomplished with the sold-out May 18th Axe Provoke beach party, where party-goers were entertained by Sri Lanka's top local DJs as well as the Axe Provoke Fallen Angels."
