- By Reihan Stephen

The Carlton 7’s have been creating quite the buzz around. However, the launch concert created quite the stir as this was probably the first time in Sri Lanka that such big stars have performed on one stage in one night. Shortly after their arrival in Colombo and a insane meet and greet session with their fans at ODEL, Alexandra Place, Daily Mirror Life caught up with Sean Kingston and Big Reeno for a quick chat and this is what they had to say:

BIG REENO, YOU HAVE A DEGREE IN BUSINESS MANAGEMENT FROMA REPUTED UNIVERSITY, WHA TMADE YOU SWITCH FROM A CAREER IN BUSINESS MANAGEMENT TO THE MUSIC INDUSTRY?

BR: It’s actually business administration, but yes, I had to o go to college and d finish my degree. e. If not my dad would have killed d me! But, Music is something I’ve always wanted to do. So, I finished my degree and thenn switched to the music industry!

SEAN, LET’S TALK ABOUT YOUR ENTRY INTO THE MUSIC INDUSTRY.

SK: Sure. So music has always been in my blood and almost everyone in my family is a musician and my grandfather is an extremely famous producer in Jamaica so I guess it just came to me and plus I always loved music.

SEAN YOU ARE FROM JAMAICA AND BIG REENO YOU ARE FROM NIGERIA, HOW SIMILAR IS SRI LANKA TO WHERE YOU COME FROM?

SK: It is a beautiful country, the people and culture are amazing, a it feels a lot like home

BBR: Haha, Each time I go out and am driving around, the traffic make me feel like I am in Lagos man, but to be honest it’s amazing over here. I love the food! I eat something almost every 10 minutes.

WHAT IS THE CRAZIEST EXPERIENCE YOU HAVE HAD WITH FANS?

SK: I’ve had people following my tour bus for hours just so that they can get a picture or autograph.

BG: Yeah man, once I think we were touring with Flo-Rida and this guys kept coming back to us and we finally managed to ditch him and then we went back to our hotel. However the next thing we know, this same guy was hitting on our window screaming “Hey man, all I wanna do is just party.” We had no idea how the heck he found us!
