CCC record third successive win

CCC recorded their third successive win of the Under 23 Division One cricket tournament defeating NCC by 16 runs in a low scoring match concluded at the NCC ground yesterday.

NCC chasing a simple target of 115 runs, resuming their second innings on the final day struggled for 46 overs as they found Lakshan Rangika and Maduka Liyanapath­iranage too hot to handle and succumbed to a low score of 99.

Lakshan and Maduka shared the 20 wickets of NCC with Lakshan ending with a match bag of 11 for 102 and Maduka 7 for 73.
