CCC record third successive win
CCC recorded their third successive win of the Under 23 Division One cricket tournament defeating NCC by 16 runs in a low scoring match concluded at the NCC ground yesterday.
NCC chasing a simple target of 115 runs, resuming their second innings on the final day struggled for 46 overs as they found Lakshan Rangika and Maduka Liyanapathiranage too hot to handle and succumbed to a low score of 99.
Lakshan and Maduka shared the 20 wickets of NCC with Lakshan ending with a match bag of 11 for 102 and Maduka 7 for 73.
