HNBA felicitates longserving employees
HNB Assurance PLC recently felicitated employees who have worked for the Company for 10 years and 5 years respectively during a special event held recently. During the award ceremony, 57 employees received awards for 10 years of service and 72 employees were given awards for 5 years of loyal service to HNB Assurance.
Commenting on the Long service achievement, Manjula de Silva, Managing Director of HNB Assurance stated whilst congratulating the employees, “Even though there is a high employee turnover in the industry, more than 30 percent of HNBA staff cadre have completed more than 5 years of service.
He also, stated that it is significant to note that there are 57 employees who have completed 10 years of service where the company is only in its 12th year of operation.
It was a significant moment as the long service awards were held amidst a gathering of all employees and their family members thus, showcasing the dedication of employees and ensuring that the families were around to witness and celebrate their achievements. HNB Assurance recently conducted a full day workshop titled “Future of Business: Creativity & Innovation” for the Corporate Planning Team of HNB Assurance which was conducted by Dr. Sunil Erevelles, Professor of Marketing and Chair of the Department of Marketing, University of North Carolina, USA. His research has been published in the most prestigious business, marketing and consumer behaviour journals in the world.
He is one of the most sought-after speakers in t he world and has addressed and consults with t he top management of several Fortune 500 companies including Boeing, Hyundai Motor Company, Er nst and Young, Lowes, Oracle, Microsoft, Intel, Nike, Pepsi.
This workshop has given the HNBA team new insights to the vistas of business in the current dynamic globalized business environment.
The workshop was a portal for creative ideas and actions relating to building businesses and developing them.
