Ousted CJ’s lawyers seek ruling on initial objections

Dr. Bandaranayake had in her objections said the Commission Chairman Justice Balapatabendi and Commissioner Jayantha Wickramaratne were ‘actually and apparently’ biased against her.
Sources said her lawyers had insisted that the investigation was a witch-hunt personally motivated against her.
Dr. Bandaranayake had referred to the headline on a news item published, on Saturday July 13, in a Sinhala newspaper.
The mentioned article had intimated among other assertions that a ruling would be given yesterday.
