Sampath e-remittance Cash Wasi promo to reward customers

Sampath e-Remittance service has won the confidence of Sri Lankans as the most sophistica­ted, safe and speediest method to bring in foreign currency earnings to the country from any part of the world. The bank facilitate­s many services to its loyal customers through this Internet-based instant money transfer system. In addition to the special services to its customers, Sampath Bank has recommence­d the ‘Sampath e-Remittance Cash Wasi’ special promotiona­l campaign to further encourage and reward customers, offering cash prizes worth Rs.1.5 million and a range of valuable household electronic items. This promotiona­l campaign is a step forward to the concept that was introduced last year.

Those who receive foreign currency remittance­s through the Sampath e-Remittance service to Sri Lanka during the period June 24 to August 31, 2013 will be eligible to win under the special promo. One could double his/her winning chances by remitting/ receiving foreign currency direct to a Sampath account via the Sampath e-Remittance facility and there is also the opportunit­y to get closer to the big prizes each time the e-Remittance service is used.

The Sampath e-Remittance Cash Wasi special draw, scheduled to be held in September, will be giving away a grand prize of one million rupees along with five winners of rupees one lack each. In addition to that, five 32-inch LED television sets, two doubledoor refrigerat­ors, three automatic washing machines, ten Hi-Fi stereo setups and ten home theatre systems will also be awarded.

The Sampath e-Remittance service is linked to over 60 foreign currency exchange houses spread across the world and Sampath Bank has also deployed 10 dedicated officers to overlook currency remittance and other banking needs of Sri Lankans living in countries such as Kuwait, Oman, Qatar United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Italy, where the concentrat­ion is high.

The Sampath e-Remittance service now brings a great sense of relief to Sri Lankans living abroad. Earlier they had to waste a lot of time and undergo many hardships to send their hardearned foreign currency to Sri Lanka. The remitted currency could be now obtained within seconds through Sampath Bank’s recently introduced high-speed Internet-based money transfer facility, which is linked to top currency exchange agents such as Ria, Sigue, CMT, Travelex, PLACID (Worldwide), ARY Speed Remit (Middle East), Al Ansari, Mawarid, Al Ahalila, UAE Exchange, U Remit (United Arab Emirates), Al Fardan (Qatar) BEC, Al Mulla Exchange (Kuwait) and NEC (Italy).

Once Sampath remittance Service receives money from abroad, it notifies the beneficiar­y in Sri Lanka within seconds through SMS. This eliminates the need to hang around the bank for hours. Under the e-Remittance service, the beneficiar­y could withdraw the inward remittance­s easily through any of the 210 Sampath Bank branches simply producing the National Identity Card during normal banking days and hours.
