Raffles celebrates 3 years of operations in Sri Lanka
Raffles Colombo, a unique education provider in Sri Lanka specializing in art and design, will be celebrating its third anniversary of operations in Sri Lanka. Raffles Colombo has been offering Advanced Diploma courses that have been approved by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC) of Sri Lanka – a statutory body established under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Skills Development since March 2011.
Raffles Colombo is a part of Raffles Education Corporation Limited, which is the largest private education group in AsiaPacific. Since establishing its first college in Singapore in 1990, the group has grown to operate 33 colleges in 30 cities across 11 countries in Asia Pacific: Australia, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mongolia, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka and Thailand. More than 21,700 students enrolled in Raffles Education Corp’s tertiary programmes benefit from a quality education that provides graduates with a well-rounded handson experience relevant to the industry.

In furtherance of the institute’s commitment to provide quality education services in Sri Lanka, they have entered into an agreement with the Board of Investment of Sri Lanka (BoI) to establish and build a higher education institute in Sri Lanka. In this connection, Raffles has committed to invest a sum of US $ 70 million in the project. In the meantime, an application has been made to the Ministry of Higher Education of Sri Lanka (MOHE) for degree awarding status to be granted to Raffles and the institute has thus far been granted in-principle approval in respect thereof.
Raffles is located in the heart of Colombo city and offers state-of-theart facilities for local and international students. The institute offers courses in fashion design, interior design, graphic design, multimedia design and fashion marketing and management.
