UNP MP Ravi Karunanayake told a news conference that a fraudulent deal was being hatched with Krish as the payment period had been repeatedly extended.

He alleged that a huge payment had been made by the company to a top government official and as such the Bribery Commission had to probe this questionable deal between the Government and the Krish Group.

Mr. Karunanayake said the entire government machinery was riddled with blatant corruption while more than 64 ruling party Pradeshiya Sabha members being charged with various crimes including molesting women and children.
