Multichemi launches Dash Laundry Soap
Dash - a name that sparkles with quality - has made news in the market again; this time with a new product - Dash Laundry Soap.
Dash is a name synonymous with quality. This quality has now been certified. Dash comes to consumers today, with the same familiar reliability and consumer-friendly qualities and stamped with - the Total Fatty Matter (TFM) assurance. TFM is used as a parameter to identify the quality of soap. TFM quantifies the amount of fatty acids in a soap bar proportionate to its weight.
Specifications for laundry soap within Sri Lanka are governed by Sri Lanka Standard 554. SLS 554 dictates that laundry soap should have a minimum of 59 percent TFM. But what members of the public are not aware of is that some soap do not even border on this percentage let alone meet up to this required quality standards.
Even today, many soap bars that are being flaunted in the market have less to offer in terms of TFM. If one were to take a closer look and read the small prints on the back of soap bars, one may find the words ‘Detergent soap’ or ‘Laundry bar’, with both varieties containing less than 59 percent TFM. Such products cannot be classified as laundry soap according to SLS 554. With Dash, poor quality soaps will begin to literally wash away as the focus centres on quality.
An event to launch this quality product – the tailor-made, laundry soap was held under the auspices of Chairman and Managing Director of Multichemi group Samantha Kumarasinghe.
Speaking at the occasion, Multichemi International Ltd General Manager Tikiri Seneviratne said the launched product is a true laundry soap. He further stressed that Dash Laundry Soap is of genuine quality. Seneviratne stated that customers would be able to compare and discover the superior quality of Dash Laundry Soap and identify the difference.
National Sales Manager Lasitha Vithanarachchi speaking on the occasion said the Dash venture has put forth more than 25 quality products that have won the confidence and trust of the public.
