Malaysia Airlines adds new destinatio­ns

Malaysia Airlines will be adding two destinatio­ns to its expanding network after Dubai. Beginning 1st September 2013, the national carrier will be introducin­g flights between Kuala Lumpur and Kochi daily in both directions as well as reinstate flights between Kuala Lumpur and Darwin five times weekly effective 1st November 2013, after the airline ceased services to the Northern Territory of Australia in 2002.

Both routes will be operating on the new and improved 160-seater B737-800.The B737-800 aircraft with a configurat­ion of 16 business and 144 Economy seats, provides premium travel experience with ondemand in-flight entertainm­ent system at every seat.

This is following the airlines’ reintroduc­tion to Dubai which will take effect on 5 August 2013.The Kuala Lumpur-Dubai return service will be mounted daily via MH162 and MH163 using the B777-200 aircraft that offers a total capacity of 282 seats in each flight, equivalent to 3,948 seats weekly.

Flights between Kuala Lumpur and Mumbai have been increased to 12 times weekly from 3rd June 2013 with one additional service to its current daytime schedule.

Effective 1st August 2013, the airline will be operating four times daily between Kuala Lumpur and Denpasar.The additional flight, MH867 departs Kuala Lumpur at 11.30pm and arrives in Denpasar at 2.30am. It returns as flight MH866 departing Denpasar at 4.35am, arriving Kuala Lumpur at 7.30am.
