Sampath Bank wins two national HR excellence awards
Sampath Bank, a premier private sector commercial bank in Sri Lanka, was recently recognized for its outstanding HR practices at the National HR Conference 2013 held on 18th and 19th June at Waters Edge , Battaramulla when the Bank was awarded two National Excellence Awards, out of the three, for People Development and Talent Management. The event was organized by the Institute of Personnel Management of Sri Lanka (IPM).
The National HR excellence Award for People Development was awarded in recognition of the exceptional contribution towards nurturing and developing human capital. The second award won at the HR Conference by Sampath Bank for Talent Management was in recognition of the proactive contribution towards unleashing the true potential of human resources through management of key result areas of HRM.
The Bank considers recruitment as very critical area in their talent management process and deploys different techniques to select the best talent in the market. Over ninety percent of the talent requirement is developed within the bank through systematic people development and talent management strategies.
The Bank’s training and development initiatives cover junior levels to the most senior levels of management. Sampath Bank ‘s technical training concentrates on a multitude of training mechanisms and delivery channels bringing a paradigm shift to HR practices.
