It gives me immense pride to be the Gold Sponsor of the Hotel Show once again to be held from 26th to 28th of July 2013, whilst extending a warm greeting to all the participants.

With the Tourism Industry starting to show signs of growth with new hotels which includes global brands coming up all around the island along with the Government initiative to reach 2.5 Million tourists by the end of 2016, I feel the industry has to adopt to accommodate this change and upgrade it selves to make Sri Lanka a sought after destination. All stakeholders, from the government to hoteliers to staff to agents to suppliers need to understand that they each play a pivotal one however small to accomplish this greater target.

When competing in the tourist industry, we are not competing in a local but in a global sense. With most barriers eradicated it’s important that our local industry is able to compete in a global environment and not only look from local point of view. Taking note of the above, we at PLM is geared to meet this demand with a dedicated team of professionals and technicians having being trained overseas and continuously upgrading ourselves with the latest trends in technology & standards to enable the industry to grow to new heights.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank CHSGA & LECS for organizing this event. This show has given the immense opportunity to all suppliers in this Industry to come under one roof to showcase all the new trends in products and services.

Wishing the very best, I hope the Hotel show will grow from strength to strength and this event would become one of the Premium events and the best in Asia for Hospitality Industry setting benchmarks in the region.
