Police record Jeevan’s statement

The police have recorded a statement from Minister Jeevan Kumaratunga on last Friday's incident at Moratuwa,

He was not resentful of those who attacked him and that he would not interfere with the police investigation into the incident

where a group of protesters pelted stones and water bottles at him during a demonstration.

The minister said he had not lodged any complaint against the protesters but the police had wanted him to make a statement.
