SLCB, THASL extend MICE training to Cultural Triangle


Fulfilling the pledge made by Sri Lanka Convention Bureau (SLCB) to offer MICE training, specially in the area of incentive travel which deals with up market clientele, SLCB carried out this month’s promotion for the Cultural triangle hoteliers with the assistance of Hotels Associatio­n in the area under the direct supervisio­n of the Tourist Hotels Associatio­n of SriLanka(THASL).

Bureau General Manager Vipula Wanigaseke­ra said, “We are now moving out of Colombo and to their door step to offer training to ensure the hoteliers recognize the special attributes required for MICE tourists who could increase the tourism revenue into the country. The training session in the Cultural Triangle was conducted by Michael Elais, Dharni Zosa, Upl Gamage, Achini Dandunnage and Iyroshi Jayawadena. The next programme is scheduled in Kandy in August and we will continue with this programme all over the country throughout this year.”
