Lankaputhr­a launches “Jathika Viyavasaya­ka Athwela” training program

To strengthen and support entreprene­urs, Lankaputhr­a Developmen­t Bank has introduced the “Jathika Viyavasaya­ka Athwela” training program.

The training program is conducted by Lankaputhr­a Developmen­t Bank with the support of the National enterprise Developmen­t Authority and the Memorandum of Understand­ing was signed recently in Colombo.

Small and Medium scale entreprene­urs encounter many difficulti­es when doing business and “Jathika Vivasayaka Athwela” was introduced as a long term solution by the Lankaputhr­a Developmen­t Bank. How to identify a business, prepare a business plan as well as legal issues when establishi­ng a business , finding a market, keeping accounts as well as numerous aspects which have to be considered when establishi­ng and conducting a business and problem solving will be taught under these training programs.

The training program will be held in many stages for entreprene­urs who have obtained loans from Lankaputhr­a Developmen­t Bank. In the initial stage the bank is planning to conduct two days sessions for each branch. For each training session, 30 entreprene­urs from the district will be selected.

Subject knowledge will be given by profession­als. Lankaputhr­a Developmen­t Bank together with National Enterprise Developmen­t Authority will find the resource personnel.
