Eagle Logistics opens 4th branch in Homagama

-

Eagle logistics Colombo expanded their wings with a new branch at Homagama on July 24. With this branch, Eagle Logistics Colombo extended their services with 5 locations in Sri Lanka.

Their head office is at Dharmapala Mawatha, Colombo 07 and branch offices at Katunayake, Biyagama,Moratuwa and the latest one at Homagama. The company started business in 2005 and today company has a staff strength of over 90 people serving many cooperate customers in Sri Lanka.

Asanga Weerackody, Managing Director of Eagle Logistics noted that ‘We always find that there is a potential to be close to the customers than trying to operate from the head office in Colombo. Expanding the business by opening a branch office requires a lot of planning and work.

While some steps such as finding a location and staffing your office are very logical and practical ones, there are many other actions you need to take when you open a branch office. We have identified an under-served market in and around Homagama and also researched competitors doing business in this area and whether they are meeting the needs of customers. Also he mentioned, This could be the last location we see in Sri Lanka and we have plans to start adopting same concept out of the country next year.
