Canon launches new cinema EOS C500 camera
Canon’s new cinema EOS C500 camera, which offers compatibility with Canon’s wide array of high performance EF lenses, was launched recently amongst the presence of renowned local film industry personnel.
The EOS C500 provides cinematographers with a range of unprecedented creative possibilities to ensure that no story is left untold. This high tech video camera was officially introduced for the first time in Sri Lanka by Metropolitan Office (Pvt) Ltd at Savoy cinema unveiled by the Senior Director and General Manager in Canon Singapore H Nishimura, Senior Country Manager for Sri Lanka in Canon, Wixon Wong accompanied by J. J. Ambani, Chairman of the Metropolitan Group and Taslim Rahaman Director/CEO Re gions Metropolitan Office Pvt Ltd.
This new digital cinema camera capable of 4K-resolution (4,096 x 2,160 pixels) video output is designed for motion picture and high resolution digital production industries, the EOS C500 offers the ability to output 4K-resolution images as RAW data for recording using an external device. The camera’s uncompressed 4K output also unleashes the full potential of Canon’s expanding range of 4K-resolution EF Cinema Lenses.
