Kishu to talk on marketing FMCG industrial products


Of all the strategies that Sri Lankan manufactur­ers could use today to grow their businesses, industrial marketing remains as the most important, yet least understood strategy. Industrial marketers face several challenges when it comes to marketing an industrial product and quite often, marketers are at a loss to (device methodolog­ies) how to overcome these challenges to keep their target audiences engaged.

In order to shed light on how to overcome such challenges, Kishu Gomes will share his thoughts and insights on ‘Marketing an industrial product as an FMCG brand’ at the next Experience Sharing Forum (ESF) hosted by Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM).

Kishu Gomes is the CEO/ Managing Director of Chevron Lubricants Lanka PLC, a lead- ing blue chip in the country. He is also responsibl­e for Chevron’s Global Lubricants business in Bangladesh and the Maldives. Kishu has served on the board of Caltex Lubricants India Ltd and is credited for the role he played as the only Asian representi­ng the Asia Pacific Leadership Team from 2002 - 2005.

The ESF serves as a platform for marketing profession­als, students and interested parties to harness knowledge from experience­d and eminent personalit­ies in Sri Lanka. The programme will be held on July 30 at the Galadari Hotel, Colombo. Entrance is free for all SLIM members and members are invited to register their participat­ion by contacting the SLIM secretaria­t.
