Speed launches firstever battery-operated dispenser water pump

In keeping with its inspiring slogan ‘To make purified water more affordable and available to all’, Speed Water Systems recently launched the firstever innovative battery-operated dispenser water pump to the Sri Lankan market.

It was in pursuance of our objective to give the industry innovative products coupled with modern techniques that Speed Water Systems launched its newest creation, the battery-operated dispenser water pump for the first time in Sri Lanka.

A survey we conducted of the country’s purified bottled water industry revealed a significant forward-movement by consumers towards the consumption of purified bottled water due to diverse reasons. Against this backdrop, we also identified many problems consumers faced in the process.”

Though it was convenient and largely hassle-free to use small (PET) bottles, the cost factor was prohibitive to consumers. Under these circumstances, the large 20-litre bottles were the best option but acquiring a dispenser was the problem. A good dispenser costs around Rs.15,000, which most customers found it difficult to afford.

“It was with the intention of overcoming this problem that Speed Water introduced to the market the battery-operated dispenser which can be operated with two “D’ size torch batteries. This novel innovation means that consumers can now use the big 20-litre bottles by simply affixing the pump and drawing water into cups or small bottles.

This battery-operated dispenser was designed to meet international quality standards and supplied by our sister company Sritrims (Far East) Ltd in China. Even a child can safely operate this dispenser as water is discharged at the touch of a button. This dispenser is ideal for homes, offices, schools, factories and industrial complexes, hospitals and for external events.
