Informatics-wincor Nixdorf celebrate 30-year partnership
Informatics (Private) Limited, the sole representative in Sri Lanka for Wincor Nixdorf of Germany, which is a leader in retail and retail banking technology, marked another milestone this year by celebrating 30 years of partnership.
The event titled ‘Trends and Innovations in the Banking Industry’ was held at the Eight Degrees North, Cinnamon Lakeside, with representatives of some of Sri Lanka’s top banks and financial institutions being present.
Informatics Group Managing Director Hiran Wickramasinghe emphasized that the company has been in partnership with Wincor-Nixdorf for three decades and this partnership has revolutionized the banking sphere in Sri Lanka by introducing innovative solutions to effectively face the many challenges prevalent in the industry.
He also stated that these solutions have helped many banks to improve relationships with their customers, providing them with a better customer experience, which in return has helped to secure loyalty amongst the key customers of the individual banks.
Addressing the gathering on behalf of WincorNixdorf, Wincor Nixdorf Asia Pacific Director Sales and Marketing Karsten Kemna stated that their partnership with Informatics has played a pivotal role in reshaping and revolutionizing industries and organisations by implementing technologies that can improve the effectiveness and efficiency of businesses thereby increasing the profitability of companies in Sri Lanka.
Karsten also shared some of WincorNixdorf’s success stories and experiences in different projects in several regions. He said that most of their success is related to multi-function ATMs, cash management with the use of Wincor Nixdorf Cineo technology, multi-vendor software, ATM monitoring and ATM security solutions.
Informatics (Pvt.) Ltd Head of Sales Lasantha Bogoda touched on how the company has evolved to meet and cater to current market trends within the last 30 years and cited the many success stories of the company. Amongst them were the Integrated Border Management Software (IBMS) - InfoBorder - which is currently being used in Sri Lanka, Mauritius and Fiji and was recently awarded the best e-Government award in the Asia Pacific Region in the FutureGov Summit and Best e-Government solution in the National Best Quality ICT Awards (NBQSA) in 2012 for InfoETA - Electronic Travel Authorization. InfoBorder also bagged two awards in the e-Swabihmani Awards 2012.
