CHAAYA TRANZ AND AMAYA LAKE EMERGEWINN­ERS

Chaaya Tranz, Hikkaduwa, a John Keells Group Hotel, emerged as the new men’s winners while Amaya Lake, Kandalama retained the women’s title for the second successive year, at the 37th Annual Travel Trade Sports Club Softball Cricket “Sixes” 2013, sponsored for the 16th successive year by Aitken Spence Travels, concluded at the Shalika and D.S. Senanayake College grounds on Sunday.

Chaaya Tranz beat Tangerine Beach Hotel, Kalutara in the men’s final and Amaya Lake Kandalama beat their sister hotel, Amaya Lake Kandy in the women’s final.

Sri Lankan Airlines eliminated the defending men’s Champion, Club Bentota, Aluthgama in the quarter finals and Tangerine Beach Hotel, Kalutara eliminated the 2012 runners-up, Bentota Beach in the pre-quarter finals.
