Fleming, Thuvaragan, Lohathieswar, guide St John’s Jaffna
Sebamalaipillai Jeni Fleming, Santhirakumkar Thuvaragan and Raviendran Lohathieswar shone in batting and bowling departments helping St John’s Jaffna to record a massive innings and 207 runs win over Canagaratnam MMV in the under 19 match played at St John’s ground in Jaffna.
It was left hand batsmen Fleming who laid the foundation for the Johnians win when he cracked an unbeaten 113 in just 111 balls inclusive of 18 boundaries supported by half tons from Arulanantham Ghna- mirthan and Sajenthiran Kabilraj enabling them to post a mammoth score of 358 for 8 declared.
This was followed by some fiery bowling spell by right arm pacie Thuvaragan who ended with a match bag of 10 for 66 and left arm spinner Lohathieswar who finished with a match bag of 8 for 54 enabling the Johnians to bowl out their opponents for scores of 73 and 88.
