MORE KITH AND KIN TO THE POLITICAL FRAY
Posters have been put up in the towns and cities of the Western and Southern Provinces by those aspiring to contest the Provincial Council elections even before the dissolution of the two respective councils.

The UPFA is also planning to include in its fray, Dulshan Padmasiri Kariyawasam, the son of former Deputy Minister Noel Padmasiri.
Special Projects Minister Rohitha Abeygunawardane's brother Rohana Abeygunawardane and Transport Minister Kumara Welgama's son Senal Welgama are the others slated to contest the election from the Kalutara district under the betel symbol.
Former Minister Hemakumara Nanayakkara's son Tharaka Nanayakkara is another aspirant candidate of the UNP list for the Galle district.
